PAXTON – Priscilla I. (Pierce) Ivashek, 83, of 765 Pleasant St., died peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2008 in Oakdale Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, West Boylston.
Her husband of 53 years, Alfred R. Ivashek, died in August of 2003. She leaves her sister with whom she lived, Rachel P. Staiti and her husband Samuel; a brother, Donald R. Pierce and his wife Cora of Auburndale, Florida; and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Shrewsbury, daughter of Glidden B. and Esther R. (Richardson) Pierce, and lived many years in Paxton. Mrs. Ivashek was a graduate of Cushing Academy in Ashburnham and the Boston School of Fine Arts. She was owner and operator of Palentine Kennels in Paxton for many years.
A private graveside service will be held at Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
