S Eleanor I. (Larson) Howe

WORCESTER � Eleanor I. (Larson) Howe, 93, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester after an illness.

Her husband of 42 years, Paul G. Howe, died in 1983. She leaves two sons, Kevin P. Howe and his wife Diann of Leicester and Brian C. Howe and his wife Christina of Rutland; four brothers, Robert, Everett, Carl and Donald Larson; three sisters, Mildred Chabot, Marjorie Coffin, and Dorothy Corrigan; four grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Timothy and Michael; seven great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kayla, Aurore, Alyssa, Kira, Jericho and Cameron; many nephews and nieces. Two sisters, Viola Carrigan and Evelyn Willard and a brother, Roy Larson, predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Carl and Selma (Anderson) Larson and graduated from Commerce High School. Eleanor was a bookkeeper at Sawyer Lumber Company in Worcester for many years retiring in 1974. She also worked at Heald Machine. Mrs. Howe was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Worcester. She was an avid Red Sox Fan and enjoyed knitting. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

The funeral for Eleanor will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec 2nd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be private and held at a later date at Mount Vernon Cemetery in West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Healthcare Hospice, 631 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609
