NATICK - Reverend Dr. Hugo “Holly” J. Hollerorth, Jr., 94, a longtime resident, passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter, Rachel and his grandchildren, Jason and Holly on Sunday, September 22, 2019.
His loving and faithful wife, Rev. Dr. Barbara E. (Scott) Hollerorth, passed away in 2009. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Buerlen of Rutland; his three grandchildren, Jason and Holly Buerlen and Nicole Hunter; his two great-grandchildren Kairia and Dominic; and two nephews, John Hollerorth and Robert Hollerorth and his wife, Linda. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rebecca Hunter and his brother, Ralph Hollerorth.
After retiring from the Unitarian Universalist Association, Rev. Hollerorth followed his passions in education and writing. He did so by developing curriculum for Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston as well as working for and being a long term board member of South Middlesex Opportunity Council in Framingham.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 16th in the First Parish in Framingham Unitarian Universalist, 24 Vernon Street, Framingham, MA 01701. A reception in the parish hall will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made to the First Parish in Framingham Unitarian Universalist Church
