LEICESTER – Dorothy H. (Sunderland) Baker, 81, of 2 Conway Drive, died at home on Wednesday, August 8, 2007.
Her husband of 56 years, Maurice H. Baker, Sr., died in 2004. She leaves four sons, Ronald B. Baker with whom she lived and Roger A. Baker also of Leicester, Maurice H. Baker, Jr. of Minnesota and Jon W. Baker of Orange; a brother, Robert A. Sunderland of Worcester; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Walter and Isabella W. (Conger) Sunderland, and has lived in Leicester for the last 50 years. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and was a Survey Analyst for the University of Chicago for 15 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Leicester Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.
A memorial service for Mrs. Baker will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 25th, in the Leicester Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, Memorial Drive, Leicester. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Baker Family Fund, 2 Conway Drive, Leicester, MA 01524. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
