CLINTON – Howard A. Vosburg, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at UMass Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Karl Vosburg and Stella (Turpin) Mastrogiovanni.
After graduating high school, Howard proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He went on to work as a master rotary press printer for Colonial Press in Clinton for many years until it closed. Howard also worked at James Monroe Wire and Cable in Sterling, where he rose the ranks to become the general manager. He then finished his career at Weetabix in Clinton. His family recalls the many years of bringing home fresh cereal from the plant on many occasions.
He enjoyed bowling and going on cruises with his wife, Carole (Cooper) Vosburg. Camping in New Hampshire with his family are cherished memories the family will never forget. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything to him.
Howard is survived by his 2 sons, Howard Vosburg, Jr. and his wife, Melinda of Clinton, Brian Vosburg and his wife, Judith of Douglas; a daughter, Wendy Elder and her husband, Dwight of Cumming, GA; 2 brothers, Raymond Turpin and his wife, Doris of North Brookfield, David Vosburg of Brookfield; 2 sisters, Katherine Germaine of Worcester, Jeannie Hebert of Shrewsbury; 8 grandchildren, Howard III, Joseph, Amanda, Nicholas, Adam, Andrew, Evan, Aurora; 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella, Annabelle, William, and Dutch; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Carole A. (Cooper) Vosburg, and his 2 brothers, William Vosburg and Franklin Vosburg.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Howard’s family from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Sunday, January 12th, at Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
