RUTLAND – Anne (Bredican) Honan, 87, of 140 Maple Avenue, died Friday, December 29, 2006 in Holden Nursing Home.
Her husband of 39 years, Patrick J. Honan, died in 1992. She leaves three sons, John P. Honan of Rutland, Brian J. Honan and his wife Mary of New York City and Keven M Honan and his wife Laurence of Medford; a sister, Teresa Jordan of Skokie, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Peter and Vincent Honan of New York City and Jack and Grace Honan of Medford.
Mrs. Honan was born in Swinford, County Mayo, Ireland, one of 10 children of John and Bridget (Ruane) Bredican, immigrated to the U.S. in 1940 and has lived in Rutland for over 65 years. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Rutland Heights Hospital for 44 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.
The funeral for Mrs. Honan will be held on Wednesday, January 3, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, 142 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, in the funeral home.
