WORCESTER – Philip H. Flagg, 56, of Elm St., died on Thursday, July 16, 2009 in Bolton Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Marlborough after an illness.
He is survived by two brothers, Mark L. Flagg and his wife Ann M. of Beverly and David M. Flagg of West Barnstable; a sister, Jennifer A. Padilla of Las Cruces, NM; two uncles, Lawrence Pender of Princeton and Thomas Pender of New York; and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester the son of Frederick H. and Mary (Pender) Flagg.
Philip graduated from St. Anthony of Padua High School, Watkins Glen, NY in 1970. He attended Worcester State College and worked for Honey Farms Corporate Office in Worcester and previously managed several stores in the area. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Church in Princeton, was an avid stamp and coin collector and especially loved his cats.
The funeral for Philip will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd with a 10 a.m. Mass in Prince of Peace Church, 1 Worcester Road, Princeton. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Connor Lane, Princeton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Massachusetts, 540 Gallivan Blvd. #200, Boston, MA 02124-5400. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is assisting the family with arrangements.
