Biography
LEOMINSTER – Herbert J. Kahn, age 88, died on Sunday, May 21st at the Golden Living Center in Fitchburg. His wife of over 50 years, Yetta (Ungar) Kahn, died in 2015. He leaves a son, Mark Kahn of Leominster. He was predeceased by his son, Calvin S. Kahn, who died in 2015, and by his two brothers, Elliott and Melvin Kahn. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and had lived in Leominster for over 50 years. He attended City College of New York. With his wife, Yetta, he owned and operated Calmark Travel Agency in Leominster and had also been President of Polysar Plastics in Leominster. Many years ago he had served on the Leominster City Council. GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 1:00 PM ON THURSDAY, MAY 25TH AT AGUDAS ACHIM CEMETERY, ON ROLLSTONE ROAD IN FITCHBURG UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Congregation Agudat Achim, 268 Washington Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
