WORCESTER: Herbert G. Ingram (in other words here) Herb, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 16, 2023, with his family by his side. Born and raised in Worcester, Herb was the son of James R. and Ethel (Douyard) Ingram and lived here most of his life.
Herb was married to the love of his life Judi for 45 years, and had 2 sons, James and Mark, and 2 daughters, Amy Hardin and Carrie Stevens. Herb leaves a legacy of 12 grandchildren, and at last count, 16 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Eleanor Lobb, and predeceased by sisters Phyllis Patton, and Jean Carmichael.
Herb enjoyed spending winters in Naples, FL and summers in Thornton, NH. He was an avid golfer and skier and dabbled in real estate in his spare time with projects in MA, NH, RI and FL. He loved spending time sharing these favorite activities with his grandchildren along with rafting down the Pemigewasset River and swimming.
Herb also loved the real-life game of Monopoly and excelled at the game of life. Nothing was as important to him as his quiet, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
He will be sorely missed and remembered for his drive and determination, his innovative solutions to problems and his ability to see the potential in all people.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Herb's family from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, March 22, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
