WORCESTER – Herbert N. Feldman, age 95, died peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
A lifelong Worcester resident, Herb was the youngest son of Bertha (Rubenstein) and Morris Feldman. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Eugene and Harold.
Growing up on the city’s east side, Herb attended Granite Street School, Providence Street Junior High and Commerce High School. He earned an Associate’s Degree from Worcester Junior College.
He proudly served his country in Japan during the Korean War where he ultimately earned the rank of Corporal.
Following a successful period managing a family business, Herb found his dream job working as a manufacturer’s representative for the Le Roi Hosiery Company for over 30 years.
He was a proud longtime member of Temple Emanuel Sinai and of the Col. Irving Yarock Jewish War Veterans Post #32 where he served as the chapter’s longtime quartermaster.
Herb will lovingly be missed and remembered by his beloved wife of 75 years, Suzanne (Robbins) Feldman of Worcester; his daughter, Nancy Feldman of Westwood; his son, Mark Feldman and his wife, Rhonda Pohl of New York City and Tel Aviv; and his cherished granddaughter, Dara Pohl Feldman of Burlington, VT; and many dear family and friends.
Family and friends will gather to honor Herb’s life at a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 28th at Temple Emanuel Sinai, 661 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at B’nai Brith Cemetery, 55 St. John’s Road, Worcester. Memorial Observance will be announced. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
