WORCESTER – Helen (Weber) McCarron, 90, died Friday, October 1, 2010.
She leaves two brothers; Edward J. Weber of Worcester and Walter A. Weber of Chula Vista, CA. She was born in Englewood, NJ the daughter of Justus C. and Nellie L. (Boyan) Weber. Helen graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Georgetown University. She was a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Helen was in charge of the physical therapy department at Georgetown University Hospital and later was the physical therapy director and taught at Tufts University in Boston. She was a member of St. George’s Church and the Sisters of Mercy.
A 4 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 30th in St. George’s Church, Worcester. Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon. Memorial contributions may be made to St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester, MA 01606. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
