HOLDEN – Helen F. (Litchfield) Van De Mark, 74, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus after a sudden illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Frederic C. and Grace (Munroe) Litchfield and had lived most of her life in Holden. She leaves her loving husband of 48 years, Albert S. Van De Mark; two sons, Todd R. Van De Mark and his wife, Kristin of Charlton and Timothy A. Van De Mark and his wife, Dawn of Holden; four sisters, Eleanor Benoit of Worcester, Evelyn Mancini of Worcester, Barbara Murray of Millbury and Linda Williams of Holden; her granddaughter, Abigail Van De Mark and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a three brothers, Frederic, Donald and Harold Litchfield. Helen graduated from North High School in 1960 and Salter Secretarial School. She was a medical secretary for nine years at Dr. Rudnick’s Office at UMass Memorial Hospital before retiring in 2007. Previously, she worked at Dr. Gadbois’ office for twenty-five years and Dr. Lacava’s for eleven years. Helen was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Holden but a lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Worcester. She was a member of the Order of the Rainbow and was a past president of the PFA of the former Rice School in Holden.
