Helen R. Savage

WEST BOYLSTON – Helen R. (Stolgitis) Savage, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester after an illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Timothy J. and Rosalind P. (Barbour) Stolgitis and had lived in Worcester before moving to West Boylston in 1950. She leaves four children, William J. Savage and his wife, Ann Marie of Windsor, VT, John E. Savage and his wife, Deborah of Lubbock, TX, Linda A. Kinzy of Belgrade, MT and Michael T. Savage of West Boylston; five grandchildren, Julie, Joshua, Matthew, Magen and Jessica; and five great grandchildren, Jethro, Tyler, Lyndsee, Jase and Tessa. She was predeceased by her brother, Timothy Stolgitis and her grandchild, Micah Savage. Helen was a Registered Nurse at Hahnemann Hospital for over 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the West Boylston Council on Aging, a volunteer poll worker and was a former Cub Scout Den Mother. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Friday, March 2nd from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester. Please omit flowers.
