STERLING/CLINTON – Helen M. (Notaro) Thompson-Legault, 85, of Sholan Terrace, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, in River Terrace Health Care, Lancaster after an illness.
Her first husband of 24 years, William G. Thompson, died in 1972. Her second husband of four years, Albert Legault, died in 1982. She leaves a daughter, Lee A. Moser and her husband Jeffrey D. of Templeton; two brothers, Joseph Notaro of Clinton and Vincent Notaro of Florida; a grandson, Gregory S. Moser, and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Clinton daughter of Saverio and Reina (Pompa) Notaro and lived most of her life in Clinton before moving to Sterling six years ago.
Helen worked Quality Control part time for Nypro Inc. in Clinton for several years. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church in Sterling and loved cooking, gardening and making crafts in her spare time.
Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 6th, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John "Bear" Notaro Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Avidia Bank, 1073 Main Street, Clinton, MA 01510.
