RUTLAND – Helen L. (Jacobson) Travers, 57, of 19 Prescott Street, died Friday, May 21, 2004, in her home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 23 years, Richard L. Travers; a son, Mark A. Rayworth of Hubbardston; her mother, Agnes A. (Carlson) Jacobson of Worcester; a sister, Sandra A. Packard of Holden; and two grandchildren, Emily M. and Justin M. Rayworth both of Hubbardston. She was born and raised in Holden, the daughter of the late Albert E. Jacobson, and lived 21 years in Rutland.
Helen was an accounts payable clerk at the Greenery in Worcester. Previously, she worked in the Human Resource Department at Devereux School in Rutland. She graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1964, and later from Salter’s Secretarial School in Worcester. She was an avid reader.
The funeral service for Helen will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 24, in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 23, in the funeral home.
