Helen M. Andrews

Paxton - Helen M. (Raymond) Andrews, 90, died peacefully at home on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was born in Newark, NJ the daughter of Alto Lee and Lessie (Cummings) Raymond and had lived in Paxton for over 30 years.

Helen graduated from High School in Newark, New Jersey. She went on to work for Catholic Charities for several years and was a foster mother to many children. After relocating to Paxton, Helen devoted her life to raising her children and creating and maintaining a wonderful home for her family.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Columbus Andrews in 2012. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her sons, Phillip Thomas of Paxton, Douglas Andrews of Gardner and Andre Moore of Amherst; her daughters, Helen Plant and her husband, Tim of Ware and Bernice Bank and her husband, Dexter of NJ; her sister, Norma Boyd; and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Aiden, Jamara, Susan, Bernice, Kim, Evelyn, Austin and Tiara. Helen was also predeceased by her 12 siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
