Heidi J. (Nygard) Moquin

November 13, 1962 — September 22, 2011

RUTLAND – Heidi J. (Nygard) Moquin, 48, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester. Heidi was born in Worcester on November 13, 1962, the daughter of the late Sandra J. (Peterson) Nygard and has lived in Rutland for the past eight years.

Heidi leaves her loving husband of 27 years, Gary J. Moquin of Rutland; a sister, Kristine (Nygard) McDonald of Worcester; her grandmother, Dorothy Caradonna of Sterling; her two Aunts, Arlene Paris and Nancy Armour, both of Sterling; her Uncle, Bryant Peterson of Maine; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Heidi was predeceased by two sisters, Dawn Nygard and Karen Blanchette.

Heidi was dedicated to her work as a finisher. She worked for several companies including the Christmas Tree Shop, where she worked for 25 years, Saint Gobain Co. where she worked for five years, and most recently CoorsTek where she had worked for close to a year. Heidi loved most of all to spend her free time with her loving husband and family, and visiting her grandmother. She loved collectables, going to yard sales, and her two dogs, Max and Shadow. She especially enjoyed being outdoors with her animals and watching wildlife. Heidi’s generosity to a local animal shelter brought health and happiness to many animals in need, and her warm heart brought joy and comfort to all of her friends and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Oakhill Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
