STERLING/PLYMOUTH – Marjorie H. (Canane) Boynton, 88, formerly of Marston Mills, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in Life Care Center of Plymouth, after an illness.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roy E. Boynton, Jr.; two sons, Robert E. Boynton and his wife Karen of Plymouth and Richard R. Boynton of Warren; two sisters, Rita Anderson of Spencer and Paula Cataldo of Florida; six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester the daughter of Aaron E. and Eva H. (Duquette) Canane and had lived in Sterling for 39 years before moving to Marston Mills and Plymouth.
Marjorie graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and worked for ITT Surprenant. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church in Sterling. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24th, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling. The family requests in lieu of flowers donation may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
