HOLDEN/PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI - Harry L. Churchey, Jr., 78, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, formerly of Holden, died Sunday, January 8, 2017 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was the son of the late Edith (Jones) and Harry L. Churchey, Sr. of Holden. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Linda (Ruth) Churchey; his daughter, Wendy Dumont and her wife, Victoria of Beach Park, Illinois; two sons, Keith Dumont, who passed away in 2012, and James Churchey of Seattle, Washington; three brothers, Phillip Churchey and his longtime companion, Barbara of Grafton, Donald Churchey and his wife, Ramona of Spencer and Walter Churchey and his wife, Joyce of Leominster; 8 grandchildren, Ben, James, Joshua, Krystal Ann, John, Alekxandria, Victoria, and Emily; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Harry worked for St. Johnsbury Trucking as a truck driver and retired after 25 years of service. He also worked for Fallon Clinic as a courier and retired after 10 years of service. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Wadsworth, Illinois. Harry was an avid lover of trains and in the 1980's he co-owned the Ware River Limited, a 20-mile scenic train ride through the Ware River Valley. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in a celebration of Harry's life from 2-4 p.m., on Saturday, May 13, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
