Biography
WORCESTER – Harriet R. (Botuck) Willins, age 96, died on Thursday, April 12th in Stone Rehabilitation Center in Newton.
She was the wife of the late Sidney Willins. She leaves a son, Edward Willins and his wife, Alison Dick; a daughter, Terry Willins Aaron and her husband, Harvey; her grandchildren, Stanton Steven Willins, Melanie Willins and Samuel Aaron; great grandchildren, Isaiah Willins and Maya Willins; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Stanton Walter Willins and her sister, Thelma Gorden.
She was born in Hartford, CT a daughter of Samuel William and Rose (Dubin) Botuck and had lived most of her life in Worcester.
She graduated Beth Israel Nursing School working for many years at the Jewish Healthcare Center as the geriatric RN supervisor. She spent many summers as the JCC day camp staff nurse and volunteered for many organizations in Worcester. She was very proud of her work as a bereavement service leader and as a volunteer with the Temple Emanuel Sinai kindergarten children.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:00PM IN BETH ISRAEL SYNAGOGUE, 15 JAMESBURY DRIVE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will follow in B’Nai Brith Cemetery.
Memorial Observance will be held until 5PM on Sunday, April 15th at the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Memorial Observance will continue from 2PM until 4 PM and 7PM until 9 PM on Monday April 16th and Tuesday April 17th at the residence of Edward Willins and Alison Dick. A Minyan service will be held at 4:45 PM on Sunday, April 15th at the Jewish Healthcare Center, at 7:45 PM Monday and Tuesday at the residence.
