HOLDEN – Harriet (Badjo) Herzog, 81, of 68 Reservoir Street, formerly of Worcester, died Tuesday, December 23, 2003, in Oakdale Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Boylston, after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 59 years, Robert F. Herzog; a son, Richard F. Herzog and his wife Carol J. of Holden; two daughters, Cynthia E. Lakus and her husband Paul S. of Newburyport, and Linda A. Herzog and her husband, Shaun F. Clancy of Edgewater, NJ; two grandchildren, Navy Lt. Peter F. Herzog of Virginia Beach, VA, and Adam P. Lakus of Newburyport. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Vangel and Elizabeth (Koki) Badjo and lived many years in Worcester. She graduated Worcester Girls Trade.
Mrs. Herzog and her husband owned and operated Castle Market in Worcester for 25 years. She later worked at Jordan Marsh Co. in Worcester. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church in Worcester.
A memorial service for Mrs. Herzog will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2004, in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
