HOLDEN – Harold H. Supernor, Sr., 93, of Fairchild Drive, died Monday, December 4, 2006, in his daughter’s home in Holden after an llness. His wife of 70 years, Beatrice (Baker) Supernor died in 2005. He leaves his daughter, Judith Berlane and her husband Stanley of Holden; two sons, Kenneth Supernor and his wife Cheryl of Florida, and Harold Supernor II, and his wife Peggy of Worcester; five grandchildren, Cynthia Bradley and her husband Richard, Paul Capuano, Kenneth Supernor, III and his fiancé Tara, Robert Supernor and Tyler Supernor; one great-grandchild, Andrew Bradley; two sisters, Elizabeth LaMarche and Pearl Fanning; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Ralph and Melvin Supernor, Amy Briere, Helen Paradis, Corrine Bush, Caroline Scribner and his grandson, David Supernor.
He was born in Worcester the son of Victor and Emily (Deviou) Supernor and lived many years in Boylston and several years in Holden. He was a longtime employee of the Heald Machine Company, starting as a toolmaker and retiring as the Director of Quality for the company, now known as Cincinnati Milacron.
Harold’s special interests included hunting, fishing, working around his property, singing, dancing, a good party, the history channel, a good western movie, books on mechanics, helping friends and neighbors with projects and mechanical problems. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a longtime member of the Boylston Lodge of Masons and Scottish Rite Bodies of Worcester. He and his wife Beatrice had many friends over the years and were the perfect hosts to their many visitors, both in Boylston and Florida were they spent 26 contented years in their retirement home.
A memorial service in celebration of Harold’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 8, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, (Rte. 122A) Holden. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. Donations may be made to the Life Care Center of Auburn, Activity Fund, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn, MA 01501, or to a charity of one’s choice.
