Lunenburg - H. Christine "Chris" (Tupper) Bibby, 75, died peacefully at home on Saturday, November 25, 2023. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Ralph E. and Jean P. (Pomeroy) Tupper and had lived in Fitchburg and Holden before moving to Lunenburg.
Chris graduated from Branford High School with the class of 1966 and later earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State College before enlisting in the U.S. Army. During her time in the Army, Chris met and fell in love with her future husband, the late George D. Bibby. After her honorable discharge from the Army, Chris pursued a career in Social Work. She helped families and patients at the Clinton Hospital Psychiatric Unit, Montachuset Homecare, Notre Dame Long Term Care and Nashoba Nursing Service and Hospice. She was a caregiver by nature and an advocate for the disenfranchised, whether they be human or animals. After retiring, Chris volunteered at several places including Neady Cats Corporation in Sterling. She was a gentle soul, brilliant writer, talented painter and found joy in meditation and drumming. Chris was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, George D. Bibby in 2005.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 7 Faulkner St., Ayer. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon.
