WORCESTER – Gwendolyn I. (White) Frayer, 86, a longtime resident of Worcester, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at The Highlands in Fitchburg.
Her husband of 18 years, Andrew J. Frayer, died in 1959. She leaves a daughter, Jacqueline B. Kaminski and her husband Richard H. of Hubbardston; a sister, Elyice Monahan of Barefoot Bay, Florida; and nieces and nephews in Vermont. A sister, Kathleen Kline predeceased her. She was born and raised in Jericho, Vermont, the daughter of Chester and Eugenia F. (Barber) White, and moved to Worcester in 1942.
Mrs. Frayer was a switchboard operator at Memorial Hospital for many years. Prior to her retirement she was employed in the office at Worcester State Hospital. She was a member of the Park Congregational Church, its Women’s Fellowship and the 50-50 Club.
Mrs. Frayer’s funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden with a calling hour from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service. Burial will be at 12 noon on Monday, June 28, in Pleasant View Cemetery, Rte. 15, Jericho, Vermont. Donations may be made to the Park Congregational Church, 80 Russell Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
