Gunnar Ezekial Milliken

April 30, 1991 — June 22, 2015

RUTLAND – Gunnar Ezekial Milliken, 24, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2015. He was born in Leominster and had lived most of his life in Rutland before moving to Spencer in May.

He leaves his parents, Bertie L. Jr. and Victoria Elise (Johansen) Milliken; two brothers, Bertie L. Milliken III and Brandon J. Milliken, all of Spencer; his paternal grandparents, Bertie L. and Nancy Milliken, Sr. of PA; his maternal grandmother, Lucille Johansen of MD; two nieces, Lily and Bryleigh; a nephew, Ryder; his best friend, Shana Quiry of Holden; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Gunnar attended Bay Path Regional High School and the “Gateway to College” program at Mount Wachusett Community College. He worked the past couple of years with his father at Classic Carpentry in Leicester. Previously, he worked at Comeau Contracting in Rutland and St. Gobain in Worcester. Gunnar attended St. Patrick’s Church and was a member of the Cub Scouts pack 141 in Rutland. Gunnar enjoyed playing basketball with his brothers, skateboarding and hanging out with his friends. He also loved to go fishing and spend time with his family. He will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Gunnar will be held on Monday, June 29, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church, 258 Main Street, Rutland. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
