JEFFERSON – Gregory R. Kazarian, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at UMass Memorial Hospital, University Campus in Worcester. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Leon and Rose (Kasparian) Kazarian.
He leaves his wife of 38 years, Linda (Treadwell) Kazarian; two daughters, Jennifer Willett and her husband, Jason of Barre and Emily Cohen and her husband, Jesse of Budd Lake, NJ; two granddaughters, Olivia and Layne Willett; a grandson, Theo Cohen; three sisters, Karen Kazarian (Nancy Lucier) of Millbury, Leona Gustafson of Worcester and Kristine Serian of Panama City, FL; a brother-in-law Robert Treadwell and his wife, Andrea of Auburn and several nieces and nephews.
Following his passion for music, Greg attended Berklee College of Music in Boston and later attended New England College of Technology, where he began his IT career at Thom McAn Shoe Company as a Computer Programmer and then Information Technology Manager. He later worked at TJX Corporation for 16 years most recently as a VP in Global Infrastructure and Operations, retiring in 2017 due to illness.
Greg loved golf and was a proud member of the Hye Hacker golf league, playing every Sunday at Holden Hills Country Club for many years and most recently when health allowed. He played several golf charity events over the years at Thom McAn and TJX Corporation.
Greg loved family vacations to Disney World and summer trips to the Red Jacket Beach Resort on Cape Cod, which became a very special 3 generation summer family event.
Greg fought a hard battle with cancer and would defy all odds and beat his metastasized cancer with Immunotherapy in 2019. Years later, he survived a 5-way bypass open heart surgery and miraculously would live long enough to meet his 3 beautiful grandchildren who meant the world to him. Livy, Layne and Theo loved their Grampy/Bupa and we will make sure they remember him forever.
All are welcome to visit with Greg’s family from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 9th, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 am. To share a memory or offer a condolence, please
