Grayce E. (Carlson) Jones

Holden - Grayce E. Carlson Jones died peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023, at UMass Memorial Healthcare - Memorial Campus, Worcester. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Carl E. and Hilda (Anderson) Carlson and graduated from North High School.

Grayce married the love of her life, the late Calvin C. Jones and settled in Holden where they raised their family. She was a lifelong devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she leaves many dear friends. Grayce was also a member of the Nordic Lodge 611 of the Vasa order of America. For nearly 40 years Grayce worked for the Wachusett Schools in several capacities, mostly as a substitute teacher.

Grayce was predeceased by her beloved husband, Calvin C. Jones in 2011 and her son, Bradley M. Jones in 2020. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her son, Steven C. Jones of Holden; her sister, Betty Brown of Westborough; her sister-in-law, Betty Jane Carlson of Holden; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great grand-niece.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service honoring and celebrating Grayce's life at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester. Interment will follow at All Faith's Cemetery, 7 Island Rd., Worcester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester, MA 01609. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
