WORCESTER – Justin G. Payne, 45, of 40 Belmont Street, died unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, February 19, 2009.
He leaves two daughters, Jocelyn E. Payne of Worcester and Alexis V. Payne of Grafton; his mother, Terrill D. Payne of Paxton; two brothers, Darryl P. Payne of Derry, New Hampshire and John A. Payne of Paxton; two nieces; and many cousins. His father, Justin A. Payne of East Douglas predeceased him.
Justin graduated from South High School where he was a pitcher for the varsity baseball team and played varsity football. He was recruited to play in the Western Mass. Senior Babe Ruth Tournament.
He attended both Becker and Bridgewater State Colleges where he was a standout pitcher. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the Local Teamsters Union #270 in Worcester. Previously, he worked for Airborne Express in Auburn. He was an avid sports fan with a love for the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and playing on local softball, hockey, and football teams.
A funeral service for Justin will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery, Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton.
