S Barbara Gordon Fenneuff
August 3, 1935 — June 4, 2009
HOLDEN - Barbara Gordon Fenneuff, 73, of Charlotte, NC, and formerly of Holden, went home to be with the Lord on June 4th, 2009, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Barbara was born on August 3, 1935, in Worcester, to the late James K. and Beatrice E. Gordon. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and worked as a Title Examiner for Worcester County Abstract for over 30 years. In 1991 she moved to Clemmons, NC, where she worked for Wachovia Mortgage Company until her retirement in 2000. She moved to Charlotte in 2004.
Barbara attended church throughout her life and even sang in the church choir at times. Barbara enjoyed gardening and bird-watching and was rarely without a crossword puzzle nearby. She had an enormous heart, a wonderful sense of grace, and was an endless source of strength and goodwill to those around her. Many people considered her their best friend. She will be sorely missed.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Robert Louis Fenneuff; by her children, Ronald, Steven, Robert, Lori, and Marc; 12 grand-children and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service was held in Charlotte on June 8th. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held in MA at a later date, which is yet to be determined.
