STERLING – Glorianne A. (Rathay) Peck, 96, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2022, at Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston. She was born in Northampton, the daughter of Aime and Fedora (LaPierre) Rathay and had lived most of her life in Sterling.
Her husband of 54 years, James M. Peck, passed away in 2010. She leaves her daughter, Melanie A. Hunt and her husband, David of Sterling; her grandchildren, Kimberly A. Harned and her husband, Adam of Sterling, and Timothy J. Hunt and his wife, Meghan of Mansfield; her great-grandchildren, Brianna, Alexander, and Avery; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother, Roland Rathay and her sister, Vivian Ryan.
Glorianne graduated from Commerce High School and worked for a brief time as a teller at the Worcester Five Cent Savings Bank. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church and its Women’s Guild and she and her husband loved to dance and were longtime members of the Sterling Silver Squares Square Dancing Group. She also enjoyed traveling, tending to her gardens and baking. What gave her the most joy was the quality family time, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Glorianne’s family on Friday, November 4th from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge St, Sterling. Burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery.
