WEST BOYLSTON -- Gloria J. Ferrandino, 75, passed away at her home in West Boylston on Monday, February 19, 2018. Born in Worcester and raised in West Boylston, Gloria was the daughter of Patsy and Madeleine (Giroux) Ferrandino and lived over 30 years in Easton before returning to West Boylston in 2004. Gloria was a graduate of West Boylston High School class of 1960. She pursued a career as a physical education teacher and attended Bridgewater State College where she received a degree in education. She later received a master's degree in education from Montana State University. Gloria taught physical education briefly at West Boylston High School before accepting a teaching position at Oliver Aimes High School in Easton where she taught for over 30 years. The last several years of her teaching career were spent as a teacher at an elementary school in Easton. She enjoyed spending summers vacationing with her family at their summer home in Wells, Maine. Gloria travelled extensively with her friends and co-workers including an unforgettable cross country trip. She adored her nieces and great nieces and will be remembered for how much she loved her three nieces and two great nieces. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her three nieces, Patricia Stankevitz and her husband, William of Northbridge, Pamela J. Costa of West Boylston and Robin L. Ferguson of Leominster; two great nieces, Melanie and Ashley Stankevitz; her brother in law, Walter Costa of Sterling; and several cousins. Besides her parents Gloria is predeceased by her sister, Elaine Costa. To honor Gloria's memory and wishes, services will be private and under the direction of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling. Interment will be held privately at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
