WORCESTER - Glen D. Anderson, 53, took his last breath at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 6:03 p.m.
All of us who knew Glen will agree that he was truly special, to the extent that capturing the essence of his life in a few words would be impossible without divine inspiration. Therefore, in reflecting on who Glen was, a well-worn passage from the book of Proverbs comes to light- "For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he".
Of course, those who understood Glen will surely agree that he was not one to tell you what he was thinking in his heart- he was a man of action, not a man of words! Framed simply, his actions gave us a clear picture of what he was thinking in his heart- much better than any words ever could, and his actions showed us that he was a man that valued home and family, was content with what he had, and loved to share it with others. He was a loyal friend who always had time for anyone in need, and always had time for a fish story! He was a devoted son who called his mother every single day, and a devoted older brother to his two little sisters. He was a sympathetic ear that could sit and listen without sitting in judgment, a man who took great pride in his work as a machinist, and perhaps most of all, he was a lover of God's creation, and all the creatures within it, especially the creatures with fins
He is survived by his mother, Helen M. (Horan) Anderson of Rutland; his sisters, Holly A. Haines and her husband, Robert of Rutland, and Karin L. Fletcher and her husband Andrew of Dover Foxcroft, ME; his nephews, Evan and Bryce Haines, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
