DRACUT/WORCESTER – Gladys H. (Perks) Andrews, 90, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Knollwood Nursing Center, Worcester. Gladys was born in Marlborough on December 31, 1922, the daughter of Joseph and Frances H. (Johlmore) Perks and lived in Dracut for over 65 years.
Gladys is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Spud (Arthur) Andrews of Worcester; a son, Arthur F. Andrews and his wife Deborah of Townsend; a granddaughter, Holly Iarrobino and her husband Ryan of Sterling; and two great grandchildren, Zachary and Benjamin Iarrobino of Sterling.
Gladys worked at the Merrimack Valley Orthopedic Associates in Chelmsford for over 30 years, retiring as the office manager in 1988. It was at this point that she and her husband, Spud, pursued their love of traveling. Gladys and Spud explored different parts of the United States in their beloved motor home. Some of their favorite states to visit included Maine and Florida. Above all, she cherished her time with her family.
The funeral service for Gladys will be private. Interment will be held at a later date at Gibson Cemetery in Pelham, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 128 Providence Street, Worcester, MA 01604. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
