THREE RIVERS - Virginia "Ginger" (Eaton) Darlow, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 the victim of a tornado that tore through the Village Green Campground, Brimfield. She was 52 years old.
She leaves her companion, Richard Reim of Three Rivers; her father, Leonard E. Eaton of Chicopee; a sister, Lynn Provost of Holyoke; a brother, Leonard Eaton III of Chicopee; three sons, Timothy, Matthew and William. She also leaves aunts, Bernice Anderson of Rutland, Jeene Collins of Worcester, Sarah Green of Turners Falls and Cynthia Hackett of Lake City, TN; and numerous cousins. Ginger grew up with her cousins Sandra Tanner of Auburn and Melinda Mackendrick of Westboro. She is predeceased by her mother Virginia (Hood) Oosting who died October 3, 1996.
She was born in Worcester to Leonard Eaton and Virginia (Hood) on September 28, 1958. Ginger is a graduate of Burncoat High School in Worcester and worked at Worcester Envelope Company in Worcester. She lived in Three Rivers when not at the Brimfield campground. We will miss her unsinkable cheerfulness and enthusiasm for life and new adventures.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 16th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 17th, in Rural Cemetery, Rutland. The family asked that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Town of Rutland, Delia Anderson Trust Fund for Rutland Elders, 230 Main Street, Rutland, MA 01543.
