S Marjorie G. (Glennon) Rauh

HOLDEN – Marjorie G. (Glennon) Rauh, 90, of Fireside Lane, died peacefully after an illness on Monday, February 7, 2011 in UMass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Campus, Worcester.

She was born and raised in New York City, daughter of William J. and Lina (Falconi) Glennon, and has lived in Holden for 53 years. She was a graduate of St. Barnabas High School and the Katherine Gibbs School, both in New York. As a young women, she worked as a model, and danced with The New York Metropolitan Ballet. She later worked as an executive secretary for Morgan Guarantee Trust in New York City, where she met her husband, Robert.

Robert H. Rauh, who shared her life for 59 years, died in 2002. Marjorie leaves her daughter, Virginia A. Rauh and her husband, Rollin Gallagher of Gladwyne, PA; three sons, Robert W. Rauh and his wife Cheryl of Rutland, Richard B. Rauh and his wife Lisa, and William T. Rauh and his wife Pamela all of Princeton; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. A brother, William J. Glennon, Jr., predeceased her.

Marjorie was a member of St. Mary's Church, the St. Mary's women's guild and taught classes in the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine. She was a former den mother for Cub Scouts Troop #180 in Holden and enjoyed golfing and summers in Dennis on Cape Cod. Marjorie cherished her many relationships and acquaintances made throughout the years with her husband Robert who was president and owner of Pepsi-Cola of Worcester located in Holden.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 10th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 2200, Jefferson, MA 01522; or Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway Street, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
