WORCESTER - Gertrude S Collison passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023 at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester. She was born in Worcester, MA, daughter of Joseph and Bronislawa Szadziewicz.
Gertrude graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and Colby College in Waterville, Maine. She worked for the American Lung Association, specifically the Tuberculosis Society. She lived in Alaska in the 1950s, and then in New York for most of her life.
Gertrude was predeceased by her husband, Charles Collison, and three sisters Alice McMahon, Helen Kaminski, and Theresa Szadziewicz, as well as her brother Joseph Szadziewicz. She leaves her niece Lydia Keach and Lydia’s husband Frederick and two nephews Benjamin Kaminski, Benjamin’s wife Phillipa, and John Kaminski.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
