WORCESTER - Gerry Joyce Moss passed away at UMass University Hospital after a brief illness, with her family at her side on January 4, 2024. She was born in Albany, NY on November 3, 1950. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Lawrence Moss, her sons Stephen Moss of Clifton Park, NY, and Matt Moss and his husband Rudy Verhoeven of Brussels, Belgium.

Gerry was a graduate of Albany High School and the Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing.

She met her husband Lawrence (Larry) while working at Albany Medical Center. They lived in Philadelphia for 4 years before moving to Worcester in 1978. In Worcester, she worked at Fairlawn Hospital, the Hahnemann Hospital Emergency Room, then Employee Health at Memorial Hospital and later UMass University Hospital, before retiring.

Gerry was an avid reader, a fan of the Red Sox, and loved listening to the Beatles.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 10th at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St, Holden. Burial will follow at B'Nai Brith Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial observances will be announced at the time of the funeral.

Arrangements are entrusted to the compassionate care of The Perlman Center at Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
