Biography
HOLDEN – Germaine “Gerrie” R. (Veilleux) Bilodeau, 75, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 12, 2018. She was born in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of Napoleon and Maria (Rodrigue) Veilleux and had lived in Marlborough before moving to Holden over twenty years ago.
She leaves her two daughters, Susan M. Snay and her husband, Gerald of Shrewsbury and Kathleen P. Taylor of Holden; her sister, Joan Guimond of Augusta, ME; seven grandchildren, Corrin, Ashley, Cory, Gerald III, Colin, Zachary and Emily; a niece and two nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Robert C. Bilodeau in 1989.
Gerrie worked for Raytheon in Marlborough for over twenty years before retiring. She was an active member of the Holden Senior Center where she taught crafts and enjoyed making gift-themed baskets for their annual fund raisers.
A celebration of life for Gerrie will be held on Sunday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606.
