Biography
LEOMINSTER – Geraldine “Geri” (Zide) Lew, age 84, died at her residence on Thursday, June 16, 2016.
Her husband, Abram “Abe” Lew, died in 2009. She leaves a son, Barry E. Lew and his wife, Ruthe of East Falmouth; a daughter, Donna Lew-Rouleau of Leominster; a brother, The Honorable Elliott Zide and his wife, Michelle E. Moran-Zide; a close friend, Bill Hawk of Leominster; and 4 grandchildren, Ari, Kira, Joel and Max. She was born in Boston, the daughter of Maxwell P. and Helen (Frankil) Zide, and had lived in Leominster for 60 years.
In her mid-thirties, she graduated from Fitchburg State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a kindergarten teacher in the Leominster Public School System for 20 years.
She was member of Congregation Agudat Achim.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2 P.M. ON MONDAY, JUNE 20, IN CONGREGATION AGUDAT ACHIM, 268 WASHINGTON STREET, LEOMINSTER, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be Agudas Achim Cemetery in Fitchburg.
Memorial Observance will be held through Monday afternoon at Congregation Agudat Achim with a Minyan Service to be held at the Synagogue at 7 p.m.
