She went on to further her education by earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Anna Maria College in 1964. Before she and Bruce started their family, she began her career as an educator in Springfield, Holyoke, and Burlington, Vermont. After moving to Holden in 1982, she shared her love of learning with her students at the Dawson Elementary School where she was a beloved teacher from 1986 until her retirement in 2006. Many students still recall her special way to start each day, “Good morning class, I love you.” Geraldine’s life was centered on faith and family.
