WORCESTER – George E. Trayah, 67, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus after an illness. He was born in Clinton, the son of Raymond and Martha (Shoup) Trayah. George graduated from Nashoba Regional High School, Bolton, in 1972.
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Brenda (McCarthy) Trayah; his brother, Millard Trayah and his wife, Diane (Bedard) Trayah; his nephew, Robert Trayah of Abington; his niece, Allyson Trayah of New York City; and his beloved pets, Slugger and Krissy.
George worked for Nypro Inc. in Clinton for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church in Worcester and was a Eucharistic Minister.
He enjoyed bowling and fishing. He was an honorable and honest man who volunteered frequently for fundraising activities including St. Peter’s Church, Food Pantries and the Daughters of Isabella. George enjoyed being a member of the Knights of Columbus Level 4 Grand Knight and volunteered for many charitable events.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 4th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for George will be held on Saturday, March 5th with a 10 am. at the Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. A private committal service will be held at Eastwood Cemetery in Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
