George H. Listowich

WORCESTER – George H. Listowich, 90, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Oakdale Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston.
His wife of 60 years, Diana R. (Repecka) Listowich passed away in 2011. He leaves four nieces, Joan Strang of Sterling, Mary Flanagan and her husband Michael of Sterling, Janet Griffin and her husband Daniel of Hollis, NH and Tina Mrazik of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two nephews, James Listowich and his wife Betty Ann of Kingfield, ME and Joseph Listowich and his wife Andi of Mesa, AZ; and grandnieces and nephews.
George was born on December 6, 1922, the son of Joseph M. and Mary (Trebendis) Listowich. He was a milkman on the family farm, Hillside Farm in Sterling for many years until it closed. He later worked for Warner Swasey in Worcester. George was a devoted loving husband who truly enjoyed taking care of the love of his life, his wife Diana and was never the same after she passed away. They loved to travel together and spent many winters in Florida.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Miles Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Entombment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
