Holden – George M. Klauzinski, 54, passed away on April 6, 2020. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Marian and Maria Klauzinski and was a lifelong resident of Holden. After graduating from Wachusett High School, he was employed for many years in the residential and commercial moving industry. George was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson and was an avid sports enthusiast and especially followed the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, playing darts, spending time at the Cape Cod beaches with his family as well as salt water and freshwater fishing. One of his best catches was a large striped bass on a streamer fly that his uncle from Connecticut tied for him.
George is survived by his brother, Richard; his sisters-in-law, Beth from Texas and Carol from Massachusetts; his aunt and godmother, Elizabeth; his uncle, Walt from Connecticut; several cousins and their extended families; and he also leaves many friends and neighbors who often visited with him. George was predeceased by his brother, Henry.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson, MA 01522. The family asks that donations, in remembrance of George, be made to St. Mary’s Church. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home.
