STERLING – Kenneth G. Boquist, 73, of Sterling, died at home on Thursday, January 10, 2008, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 37 years, Jane D. (Strakose) Boquist; two daughters, Jennifer T. Boquist of Sterling and Allison E. Courville and her husband Chris of Barre; a sister, Elsie Saltus of Naples, FL; a grandson, Matthew J. Smiley; several nephews and nieces. A sister, Astrid Carson, predeceased him. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of Gustav and Edith (Thorn) Boquist, and lived in Sterling for the last 37 years.
Mr. Boquist was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was owner and operator of Worcester Mack Sales & Service where he worked for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed skiing and fishing. In later years he enjoyed working for the Worcester Art Museum.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service for Mr. Boquist at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 14th, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling.
