HOLDEN – Gary G. Jackson, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, April 18, 2021 after an illness. He was born and raised in Holden, the son of George and Hazel (Maki) Jackson. He lived in Richland, MI for 25 years before moving back to Holden.
He leaves his loving wife of 14 years, Carole (Latino); his daughters, Heidi Adams and her husband, Tony of Fishers, IN and Allie Friberg and her husband, Wayne of South Dennis; his precious grandsons, AJ, Isaiah and Caleb who he loved with all his heart. His sister, Paula Baroud of Sutton; his brother, Donald Jackson and his wife, Jessie of Mission Viejo, CA, his brother in law, David Latino and his wife, Debbie and his nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Lindsay, Andrew and Jennifer.
Gary graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and was a draftsman by trade. He worked in the building and grounds maintenance division at the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard before retiring as a self employed handyman. He was a skilled craftsman who would take on any project, fix anything or would come up with a solution for any problem. He was devoted to his family and loved his time spent sharing his knowledge with his grandsons. In his leisure, Gary enjoyed his motorcycle, mountain and trail hiking, going to the beach, long country drives and spending time with his friends at the 140 Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 12 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 25th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and for everyone’s safety, appropriate social distancing and wearing of a mask will be required.
