STERLING - Gail D. (Bray) Puccetti, formerly of Sterling, died peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester. Gail was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Donald and Vera (Bulmer) Bray. She came to the United States at the age of 21 and settled in West Boylston, later moving to Sterling to raise her family and remained there for 45 years. Recently she moved to the Southgate Community in Shrewsbury and has resided there for almost 3 years. Gail was the beloved wife of the late Armando “Deno” Puccetti, her best friend and loving husband of 50 years, who died in 2009.
Gail worked as an office assistant at the West Boylston Insurance Agency for 15 years until her retirement. As a profound advocate of family she was a loving mother and grandmother. Gail was also an avid reader who started a community book club at Southgate and was well known for her lively spirit, kind wit, as well as an overall good neighbor and friend. She will be deeply missed by her kind and gracious friends at the Southgate Community.
Gail lovingly leaves behind her three children, Gina Wing and her husband, Danny of Monument Beach and their daughters, Amanda and Alexandra, Lori Puccetti of Sterling and her son, Austin & Perry Puccetti and his wife, Jill of Leawood, Kansas and their daughters, Ariel, Rachel and Piper. She also leaves behind her sister Sandra D. Brown of England, her two brothers, Jerry and David Bray, both of Canada as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Gail’s family on Thursday, September 11, from 10 - 12 noon at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd, Sterling. A funeral service celebrating her life will then be held at 12 noon in the funeral home, immediately followed by a private burial in Mount Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston.
