ROCHDALE - Mario Gabrielli, 68, of Virginia Drive, formerly of Hubbardston, died peacefully in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester, on March 11, 2010, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rebecca (Elias) Gabrielli; two sons, Marco Gabrielli and his wife Stephanie of Barre, and their children Vittoria, Marco, Jr., Gino and Gemma, and his son, Robin Gabrielli of Newton; a daughter, Gina Gabrielli of New York City; a brother, Giulio and a sister, Gabriella and many family members and friends in Italy.
He was born in Rome, Italy, the son of Amasio and Gina (Sorge) Gabrielli and came to the U.S. as an immigrant with professional status in 1966, with an Italian doctorate in electronic engineering from the University of Rome. He was an eminent manager of research and development in the field of factory integration and automation software, and was employed by several companies in California, Massachusetts and Milan, Italy, including Honeywell, ComputerVision, ITP of Boston, Decision Software, Mainstream Software and ORSI America. In 1998, Mario became the owner and CEO of Brady-Built Sunrooms, now in Auburn. Mario leaves many colleagues, family and friends who loved and admired him greatly.
There will be a private gathering in his honor at a later date, rather than a funeral service.
