RUTLAND – Stanley F. Sidloski, 93, of Sunnyside Ave., died Sunday, January 27, 2008, in the Radius Healthcare Center of Worcester, after an illness.
His wife of 50 years, Josephine M. (Giofreda) Sidloski, died in 1991. He leaves his daughter, Barbara M. Quiry and her husband Robert of Rutland; two grandchildren, Robert J. Quiry, Jr. of Paxton and Lynn Morin of Gilead, Maine; and six great-grandchildren. A son, Robert Sidloski, predeceased him. Three brothers, John, William and Henry Sidloski and four sisters, Irene Dunlop, Helen Hill, Beatrice Young and Martha Liberis, also predeceased him. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of Stanley and Mary (Ropiak) Sidloski, and lived in Rutland for over 30 years. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Worcester.
Mr. Sidloski worked for American Steel & Wire Company in Worcester for 40 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, the Greendale YMCA Men’s Club and its bowling league.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Mr. Sidloski will be held on Wednesday, January 30th, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
