Frederick T. Robinson

RUTLAND – Frederick T. Robinson, 87, of Barre-Paxton Road, died Saturday, February 28, 2004, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

His beloved wife, Dorothy B. (Edwards) Robinson, died in 1976. He leaves his son, David P. Robinson of Landers, California; three daughters, Phyllis Lavoie and her husband James of Worcester, Carol Pearson and her husband Maurice of Rutland, and Hazel Hooper of Rutland; a sister, Eugene Molin of Cape Cod; a brother, Robert Bliss of Warren, New Hampshire; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and his long time companion, Claire Perron of Rutland. Two brothers, Herbert S. and Joseph Robinson, and a sister, Hazel Downs, predeceased him. He was born and raised in Paxton, son of Louie M. and Ella E. (Devio) Robinson, and lived 20 years in Rutland.

Mr. Robinson was a local self-employed stonemason for over 70 years. As a Paxton resident, he served on the electric light department board, was town tree warden and dog officer. He was a member of the Paxton American Legion Post.

Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend a graveside service to be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, at Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
