Biography
WORCESTER – Frederick Sosnoff, age 91, died on June 9th, in the Jewish Healthcare Center.
His wife of 57 years, Minnie (Kaplan) died in 2002. He leaves two sons, Harvey Sosnoff and his wife, Alicia of Holden and Steven Sosnoff and his wife, Denise of Paxton; five grandchildren, Samuel Sosnoff and his wife, Emily, Jacob Sosnoff and his wife, Ruth, Jodi Sosnoff, Joseph Sosnoff and his wife, Mareshia, and Richard Sosnoff and his wife, Marcela; and seven great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his two brothers, Rubin Sosnofsky and Julius Sosnoff and by his two sisters, Sarah Cohen and Frances Schulman.
He was born in Springfield, MA, a son of Joseph and Ida (Lieberman) Sosnofsky and had lived in Worcester for 50 years and in Paxton for 20 years.
He owned and operated Worcester Orthopedic, for many years, which he founded, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Beth Israel Synagogue, B’Nai Brith, and was a 33rd degree Mason.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00AM ON THURSDAY, JUNE 11TH IN BETH ISRAEL SYNAGOGUE ON JAMESBURY DRIVE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery.
Memorial Observance will be held at the residence of Steven and Denise Sosnoff, 2 Jefferson Drive in Paxton through 7PM on Thursday, June 11th with a Minyan service at 7PM; on Friday, June 12th from 1PM to 5PM; and on Sunday, June 14th, 1PM to 5PM.
